Yoga for Menopause

Ah, the Menopause. No eta, no starting point or finish line and we don’t REALLY talk about it do we? For many of us, it’s looming somewhere in the future or it’s already here full throttle - all topsy turvy emotions, irritability, hot flushes and insomnia. Quite a trip!
The journey can last for 10 years - 10 YEARS! And most women experience the Menopause between the ages of 40 and 55 - average age of 51 - but some start as young as 30 or as late as in their 60’s.
As always at Wellness 108, we like to keep it real, break the silence and be there for each other. To help us, Michelle (Anahata Yoga with Michelle) is coming along to look at the different phases of this process, discuss what to expect and give you some tools & techniques to help you along the way: encouraging you to share your experiences & a few tips with each other.
You will also learn breath work, meditation practices and yoga poses to calm the mind, soothe the soul and settle our emotions.
Come along and share in the wonderful workshop. Yoga, laughter, may be a few tears and, as always, bundles of love.
Full Moon Yoga Immersion

Yin & Yoga Nidra
Friday 1st November 2019 at 7 - 9pm
This evening is a perfect way to let go, reconnect & re-balance with a blissful Yin Yoga practice & Yoga Nidra. Most of live a Yang kind of lifestyle (think running, cycling, power-based vinyasa) and Yin is a perfect antidote.
We will have 60 minutes to practice this soulful, unique & slow-paced form of yoga using floor based postures held for longer periods of time to open the hips, pelvis & lower back.
You can really reconnect with yourself, feel the body unfurl and notice the mind returning to a place of calm and peace. And it gets better! You will have another 45 minutes of complete rest and will be expertly guided through a blissful extended Yoga Nidra practice.
Yoga Nidra is also known as Yogic Sleep and 45 minutes can feel like 3 hours of sleep. Yoga Nidra promotes deep rest & relaxation, can alleviate insomnia, calms the nervous system and leads to improved sleep and better health. It is also shown to be beneficial in the treatment of ME/CFS, PTSD, anxiety and depression.
So, what is there not to love? Blankets, candles, incense AND yoga and relaxation?! Sounds a bit too nice, we think!
